Only because of you, the expansion of the Seniors’ Village and the Centre of Excellence in Frailty-Informed Care will ensure that more seniors live fulfilling lives in the comfort and dignity they deserve. The Centre of Excellence in Frailty-Informed Care will provide a game-changing opportunity to transform care for the most frail seniors through innovation and best practices, not only in Ottawa but also throughout Ontario and across the nation.
The number of elderly residents of the National Capital Region will increase significantly during the next few decades—but we can support them as their care needs increase by building appropriate living units, and enhancing health services and supports. You can make it possible.
Care will become more complex and frail seniors will place increased demands on both the long- term care sector and the healthcare system—but the Centre of Excellence in Frailty-Informed Care can develop and deliver new models and types of care, along with relevant best practices and training protocols.
The 2013 construction of the Seniors’ Village transformed the Perley Rideau into a more sustainable and innovative provider of care and services to a wide range of seniors and Veterans. A series of subsequent partnerships has enabled the Perley Rideau to improve the quality of care it provides to residents, to expand its service offering, and to increase the supply of trained caregivers.
Now, it is time to take that next exciting step because the future demands it, and the growing senior population is changing the way we must respond to it. Take the next step with us; support the Caring for the Future campaign with heart and generosity.
